Conquest 2009 CCG Schedule

Conquest is Melbourne's Easter Games Convention held annually at Melbourne High School.

Constructed = Open tournament 

s = starter and b = boosters (as in the number you get for the sealed event)

SD = Sealed Deck, cards to be purchased on the day. Standard is RRP with a discount, see individual listings.

This schedule is flexible and may change due to public demand prior to on during the convention.

Demonstrations of various ccg's (Collectable card games), cmg's (collectable miniature games) and csg's (collectable strategy games/pocketmodels) will be available throughout the convention. The demo games will also include games not listing in the above schedule.

Highlander CCG

(Collectable Card Game)

In Highlander: The Card Game 2^{nd edition}, players assume the roles of Immortals like Connor, Ramirez, The Kurgan , and Duncan . These Immortals are mysterious wanderers who can only die if their heads are severed from their bodies. Immortals spend eternity honing their sword-fighting skills, trying to reach the time of The Gathering, when they will battle to the last. To the victor goes The Prize, an enigmatic goal of legendary proportions that no one really understands. It is simply known among them that he who wields its power will command the destiny of the entire world. Quite a prize indeed. To attain this goal some Immortals will stop at nothing, while others follow a stricter code of honor and decency in their quest. In the end, for better or worse... There can be only one.  All tournaments are Swiss style format, no eliminations.

All events are the Victoria State Championships. Standard Aussie rules apply. The draft will consist of 6 boosters. You are allowed to add any of the 25 cards from the base 2nd ed. starter plus any persona and weapon of choice.

HorrorClix CMG

(Collectable Miniatures Game)

Horrorclix is the wickedly fun game that puts you in control of your own supernatural horror story. Packs of monsters slay victims and rescue innocents in a gore-filled romp in which Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts, Cultists, Serial Killers, Zombies, and all the creatures of the night, battle it out to the bitter end! Duplicate your favourite teen horror movies, be you monster or victim.  All tournaments are Swiss style format, no eliminations. The sealed deck will consist of 3 boosters.

Legend of the Five Rings CCG

Legend of the Five Rings is a game set in a medieval mythical Oriental setting, incorporating Japanese Samurai to Chinese magics and the mythology of both, in a world where honour is more important than life. Players can win in a number of ways, either by achieving a military victory and thereby eliminating the other clans, a honour victory (diplomacy) or an enlightenment victory where a clan manages to retrieve all five rings.

For the Samurai sealed deck, we will use Samurai base starters. For the Pre-Samurai sealed deck, will will be using random pre-Samurai starters plus 8 boosters (using samurai rules) (Nornal RRP is around $70.00).

Sharpen your cutlass, trim your sails and prepare for adventure on the Spanish Main! Pirates of the Spanish Main is the world’s first constructible strategy game™! (Collectable Stragety Game)

Star Wars Pocketmodels. Game Pack contains everything one player needs to get started. Build a fleet of Star Wars ships and a card deck filled with Star Wars characters and events. The assembled vehicles look awesome. The game is fast and fun, with enough details and stragety to keep you inspired for a long time.  Ships come in pre-punched plastic cards, which can be assembled easily and then dismantled and put back for storage. For the Sealed Deck, you will get a Power-Up starter deck and 5 boosters (Normal RRP is around $65.00)
